A new volume of the yearbook Studia Carpathico-Adriatica released

On 6 February 2026, the Director of the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences and a member of the Slovak–Croatian Commission of Humanities, Željko Holjevac, PhD, was received by the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Croatia, Her Excellency Hana Kovačová. The meeting focused on discussions of bilateral cooperation and the contribution of the Slovak–Croatian Commission to the development of Croatian–Slovak scientific and cultural relations

Her Excellency informed the Director about the Embassy’s ongoing and planned activities for 2026. On the other side, the Director reported on preparations for the next meeting of the Commission and a conference dedicated to literature and cultural memory, to be held in June 2026 in Martin, Slovakia.

At the same time, the Director received from the Ambassador printed copies of the fifth volume of the publication Studia Carpathico-Adriatica for editors, authors, reviewers, and other collaborators from Croatia.

The Studia Carpathico-Adriatica is the yearbook of the Slovak-Croatian Commission of Humanities. The fifth volume of the Studia Carpathico Adriatica is thematically connected to the proceedings of the conference “Art and Identities”, convened at the Východoslovenská Galéria in Košice on 12 June 2024. The volume is edited by Martin Homza, Željko Holjevac, Mirjana Repanić Braun and Ivan Gerát.

Following the activities of the Commission, the editors of the Studia Carpathico-Adriatica will continue with all efforts to comply with the criteria to be included in SCOPUS/the Web of Science Conference Proceedings Citation index.
